i entertain myself.

I am three weeks out from the big move to Philly.  I’ve had such mixed emotions over the past week.  I’ve realized that I’m not sad about leaving New York, and I’m certainly not sad about being in Philly, but it’s been really difficult for me to accept that a giant chapter of my life is coming to a close.  I’ve spent the majority of my twenties living alone in my studio apartment on the UWS of Manhattan, I’ve had a ton of girls nights, and late nights that have turned into early mornings, I’ve eaten at spectacular restaurants and seen some great Broadway shows.  I’ve also dated some interesting boys here—actors, comedians, producers, real estate guys, lawyers—all of them crazy in their own ways.  And as I’ve been packing up my apartment, I’ve been sorting through remnants of that old life; I’ve thrown most of it out, and the rest set aside to put into storage at my mom’s house on Long Island.  I’m ready to move forward with my new life, which includes living with a boy I love in a new city and creating a life together.  Such a new frontier!
