In case you don’t already know, this song is about the riots in Los Angeles that went down 17 years ago today.

I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG IN 8TH GRADE!! I discovered Sublime that year, and was immediately hooked. This song was especially meaningful because of the date in the title :)
