It’s easy to picture the blue gown Glinda wore in “Wicked” or the otherworldly wings from “Angels in America,” but can you name the designers behind them? Probably not, which is why you should head to the New York Public Library before May 2 when “Curtain Call: Celebrating a Century of Women Designing for Live Performance” closes. More than 100 designers are represented in this show, which covers the 1890s to the present, and includes scenery, costumes, lighting, props and projections from just about every discipline of the performing arts, from dance to theater to opera. Oh, and Glinda’s gown? It’s by Susan Hilferty.
