I love these!!  I actually have been looking for this exact shoe, except instead of the bootie, I want it in a pump.  I cannot find it anywhere.  Any suggestions?

Is anyone else disturbed by this?

The next family to have their own reality TV show is the Eastwoods.  E! is going inside the lives of Dina Eastwood, wife of film star Clint Eastwood and their daughters Francesca age 18 and Morgan age 15 in the series Mrs. Eastwood & Company.  The half-hour 10-episode series, from Bunim-Murray Productions, follows Dina, Francesca and Morgan as well as the six members of the all-male South African vocal group Overtone that is managed by Dina.  Mrs. Eastwood & Company premieres May 20 on E!.

Follow Up of the Day: While the MPAA, backed by the National Association of Theater Owners, remains defiant in its decision to slap an age-restricting R rating on The Weinstein Company’s bullying documentary, and thus prevent it from being shown in most schools, Canadian censors in British Columbia have approved a request from the film’s local distributor to affix a far-less-limiting PG rating to Bully.
“Last night, I learned of the B.C. board’s decision to grant Bully a PG-rating,” said director Lee Hirsch. “I am thrilled that kids of all ages can now join their parents, teachers, social work advocates and leaders to bring about change for this deeply important cause.”
Unlike their American counterparts, Canadian film ratings are decided by each province individually.
The Canadian distributor, Alliance Films, used the opportunity to send a message to the MPAA, saying in a statement the the PG rating “reinforces the movie’s message that bullying must be urgently addressed with great care and consideration.”

What warranted the R-rating?  The article didn’t discuss it and I cannot understand how the same movie can receive both an R and a PG rating.  Someone please explain this to me?!

the hilary project: Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places: My Job Search

thehilaryproject:

I’ve come to the conclusion that a job search is alot like dating, and you’ve got to go on alot of bad dates and experience some breakups before you know yourself well enough to truly fall in love.  And that 100% applies to looking for the perfect job.

It takes alot of patience and alot of time to find the perfect mate/job.  You put yourself out there and try to make a connection, you walk away feeling excited and nervous—all the while hoping that they’ll call you back for a second date/interview.

After a series of bad dates/job interviews, you start to panic.  You start to worry that you’ll be alone/unfulfilled for the rest of your life and that’s when the desperation sets in.  You end up settling for someone/some job that doesn’t deserve you, and even though you’re excited at first to feel wanted/employable, the excitement soon fades away into sadness and an intense need to break up/quit.  Which is when you start the whole process over again.

I’m working on breaking the cycle by letting patience into my life (it’s a daily struggle!) but I am determined to master this concept because I know I deserve better.  I’ve already found my Prince Charming, so now it’s time for the perfect job to find me.

And it will.

Let’s Be Clear

That I am officially petitioning the Universe to give me a fucking break.  I’ve had enough of the bad luck streak, of the jobs that seem promising but “just don’t work out in the end”, of all of my talent going to waste because Philadelphia is too insulated and silly to give a new girl in town a chance.  I’m over waiting for something to just work out, or for the right thing to come along.  I’m TELLING the Universe to send it immediately because I’ve built up enough momentum and good karma to last at least 6 lifetimes and I need things to start working out in my favor.

So here it is world, here is what I am looking for:

  • I am a creative person and want to be working in a creative environment—I can write, I can produce tv/web content, and I can definitely pitch ideas
  • I want to be part of a team—I want the people around me to both challenge and inspire me
  • I want to be proud of the work that I am doing
  • I want to be dealing with people on a regular basis, and I don’t want to be sitting at a desk all day
  • I want to feel encouraged and respected as an employee
  • For all of the above, pay would be negotiable

I’ve been quite clear with you, Universe.  Now it’s time to deliver.
