My Damn Channel! →
Had a great meeting with Rob Barnett over at My Damn Channel this afternoon. He is so great, and I love what they are doing over there! You should definitely check them out, they have amazing original content and the kicker is that I’ve been told that their talent usually has almost completely free reign over the creative process. This is something I can get behind.
New Job! →
Tomorrow is my first day as Plum TV’s new producer! I’m very excited—I love the women that I’ll be working with. Should be a nice change of pace from the boy-centric offices I’ve been in for the past few years. I’m going to be producing a show called “Beyond the Boardroom.” It’s a very interesting and informative show hosted by Jonathan...

Suburban Spy Ring →
This story is so unreal it seems to be borrowed right out of a Hollywood screenplay. My favorite part of the entire article: According to one neighbor, Cynthia was a solid gardener as well. “They couldn’t have been spies,” Jessie Gugig, 15, told The New York Times. “Look what she did with the hydrangeas.”

NPR is streaming the new collaborative Danger Mouse album on their website:
It took more than a year of closely guarded negotiations, but Dark Night of the Soul, the mysterious album from Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse and David Lynch, is finally getting an official release. Dark Night of the Soul was initially announced in the spring of 2009, but never came out because of an unspecified...

ABC News video showing more evidence of oil washing ashore along Florida and Alabama beaches. Dolphins, now threatened by contaminated water, air and food, are crowding into untainted bayous, where their population has increased tenfold and they must now compete with each other for food, and are also threatened by sharks also fleeing the oil. So far 47 dolphins have...
The Greatest Proposal Ever →
(via joshruben)
This is the most original, romantic marriage proposal I have ever seen. Actual tears left my eyes for this.
Daily Om: Giving In To Change →
Transformation is a universal constant that affects our lives from the moment we are born until we leave earthly existence behind. At the root of all growth, we find change. Occasionally, change and the circumstances leading up to it are a source of extraordinary joy, but more often than not they provoke feelings of discomfort, fear, or pain. Though many changes are unavoidable, we should...

My oh my Katy Perry…
Music video for “California Gurls”.
This song is awful. I can’t believe Snoop wasted his time with this crap. And a note for Katy Perry: whipped cream shooting out of your nipples is gross.
Leaked: Obama's Voicemail to Bush →
My very talented friend, Michael Weingartner, does the most impressive, spot-on Obama voice. Huffington Post thinks so too, apparently.

Broken Bells: The Ghost Inside
A very cool video starring the magnificent Christina Hendricks. This happens to be my favorite song on the Broken Bells album.

Daily Om: Shaped by Experience →
Our view of the universe is largely determined by our experiences. It is when we are caught off guard by the spontaneity of existence that we are most apt to respond authentically, even when our feelings do not correspond with those of the multitude. Events that arouse strong emotions with us or are surprising in nature can be disquieting, for it often is in their aftermath that we discover...
