Philadelphia Lesson #3
Philly is very much a driving city and I’ve noticed that when cars stop at red lights here they pull straight up into the crosswalk. NOT COOL, CARS. The crosswalk is there for a reason, so let’s try not to kill pedestrians today.
Some Wise Words of Advice, Courtesy of HuffPo →
The best advice I can offer my own children or others at this early stage of life is this: Be present for the uncertainties of life to surprise you. Do not cling too tightly to any idea of where you might be going. Get up every day and give whatever you might be doing your best effort. And most of all, trust yourself and love yourself.
Be kind to yourself. Be compassionate with yourself. To...
Philadelphia Lesson #2
It’s much harder being away from my family and friends than I thought it would be. Even though I am happy, I’ve also been sort of lonely the past few days. Growing pains?
Philadelphia Lesson #1
There are no mailboxes in this city! I walked all over our neighborhood yesterday trying to find one, but alas, my quest was fruitless. There are, however, lots of those weird murky-brown mailboxes that aren’t actually mailboxes. What are those things? Some sort of secret-smuggling system for postal workers? Why has no one looked into this? MORE MAILBOXES, PLEASE.
New Obsession: Boutiques.com →

He designed and ordered up two Muppets that resembled the couple, created a moving homage to their love, then organised for the video to be screened as a trailer on December 12th, 2010, at the Red River Theater in Concord New Hampshire. Impressive. The whole behind the...

The NYT Op-Ed That Everyone Should Read. →
Thomas Friedman turns the Wikileaks scandal around and asks, what if we had intercepted documents from China regarding the US instead. An excerpt:
There is a willful self-destructiveness in the air here as if America has all the time and money in the world for petty politics. They fight over things like — we are not making this up — how and where an airport security officer can touch...
